On June 18, 1954, the San Carlos Apache Indian Tribe was established by Executive Order. According to the SCAT Human Resources Manual, under Employee Benefits, Section 1002 "Holidays", the Tribe will observe Apache Independence Day on Friday, June 18, 2021. Please join and help us celebrate "Nṉee Ba’awolzaa’ hi’ bi’ jį́į́" (A day made for Apaches) at the Bob Key Arena, Peridot, AZ. For all emergency personnel, please check with your Supervisor for scheduling on this day. Tribal Council Recinds Mask Mandate

Tribal Council approved the recommendation from the TERC committee to rescind the mask mandate for the general public but recommends that unvaccinated individuals continue to wear a mask. Tribe To Receive First Federal ARPA Payment

The San Carlos Apache Tribe announces that it had received notice on Friday May 28, 2021 from the U.S. Department of Treasury that it had calculated and processed the Tribe’s allocation for the first phase payment to be made from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFRF) pursuant to the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The allocation totals $79,720,217.40.
