Resolution Copper plans to collapse the sacred site known as Chi’chil Biłdagoteel in Apache into a two-mile-wide, 1,100-foot-deep crater. The San Carlos Apache Tribe reached an agreement yesterday with the U.S. Forest Service to develop a Memorandum of Understanding to define the parameters of future government-to-government consultations concerning the proposed Resolution Copper Mine. The Tribe is opposed to the construction of the mine.
